Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We had my nephew and niece for the weekend while my sister was in the hospital with baby Ava. Since my sister has always had scheduled c-sections, Jason stays with her to help with the baby and for some extra family bonding time.

We had so much fun! On Sunday, we took the kids by the hospital so that their mommy and daddy could see them in their costumes and they could spend some time together. Then we took them to "Trunk or Treat" at our church. Below are some pictures of the day:

I try not to think about the fact that this was also Aidan's first Halloween and his daddy and mommy weren't there to dress him up and take TONS of pictures like all first-time parents. I'm sad, yet I know that we'll be together next Halloween. We miss you little guy! There's not a moment of the day that we don't thank God for the wonderful gift of being your Mommy and Daddy.

very cute. at first, i thought the bow was the little one's hair. kinda scary...until i realized it was a BOW and not her hair...love reading your updates!

Aidan's Adoption Journey

6/4/11- Forever Home and Forever a Family
5/31/11- Embassy! We're cleared!!! We leave for the U.S in 3 days!
5/30/11- Took Custody of Aidan!
5/27/11~ Arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
5/24/11~Left for Ethiopia
5/16/11~ We have our Embassy date! May 31st- We should take custody of Aidan either the 29th or 30th. :)
5/12/11~ Cleared to travel by the U.S embassy (we've passed our last major hurdle). Hopefully, we'll have travel dates next week. :)
5/3/11~ We've been submitted to the U.S embassy! We're getting close now!!!
4/22/11~ Overnighted new paperwork required by the U.S embassy for anyone submitted after April 25th.
4/21/11 ~ Aidan has our last name! We were emailed both his birth certificate (with his new name) and court decree. He is ours and we are his!
4/12/11 ~ Aidan is in Addis!!! One step closer to bringing him HOME.
3/22/11 ~ More photos and YES, he's in pink AGAIN. :)
3/22/11 ~ Our court decree is in Ethiopia! Aidan is officially our son!!!! Happy Day!!!
3/14/11 ~ Health Update (our little prince is getting so big!)
3/8/11~ Met our son's birthmother. Words can never express our gratitude.
