Aidan's Adoption Journey

6/4/11- Forever Home and Forever a Family
5/31/11- Embassy! We're cleared!!! We leave for the U.S in 3 days!
5/30/11- Took Custody of Aidan!
5/27/11~ Arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
5/24/11~Left for Ethiopia
5/16/11~ We have our Embassy date! May 31st- We should take custody of Aidan either the 29th or 30th. :)
5/12/11~ Cleared to travel by the U.S embassy (we've passed our last major hurdle). Hopefully, we'll have travel dates next week. :)
5/3/11~ We've been submitted to the U.S embassy! We're getting close now!!!
4/22/11~ Overnighted new paperwork required by the U.S embassy for anyone submitted after April 25th.
4/21/11 ~ Aidan has our last name! We were emailed both his birth certificate (with his new name) and court decree. He is ours and we are his!
4/12/11 ~ Aidan is in Addis!!! One step closer to bringing him HOME.
3/22/11 ~ More photos and YES, he's in pink AGAIN. :)
3/22/11 ~ Our court decree is in Ethiopia! Aidan is officially our son!!!! Happy Day!!!
3/14/11 ~ Health Update (our little prince is getting so big!)
3/8/11~ Met our son's birthmother. Words can never express our gratitude.
3/8/11~ Court Date (WE PASSED!!!)
3/6/11 ~ Met Aidan for the first time!
3/4/11~ Departed for Ethiopia and court

1/26/11~ Health Update!
1/21/11~ Visa Applications mailed to Ethiopian Embassy
1/19/11~ Booked our flight. We're going to Ethiopia, baby!
1/18/11~ scheduled our appointments for immunizations
1/4/11~ Confirmation that I-171H paperwork is in Ethiopia!
1/3/11~ Court date notification...March 8th! We'll meet our son for the first time on March 7th!!!! We're overjoyed. Words can not express the excitement in our hearts.
12/8/10~ Notification (after an email) that we are being submitted for a court date! One step closer.
11/22/10~ Health Update!
10/17/10~ Confirmation that Holt has received Acceptance Paperwork and has called Ethiopia to tell them that we have accepted Little A (as if there was any question!)
10/15/10~ Sent off Official Acceptance Paperwork to Holt
10/13/10~ Referral (It's a BOY)
8/22/10~ 171H in the mailbox!!!!!!!!!!
8/16/10~ Told that I600A application had been approved (171H)
7/16/10~ P.O.A Received in Ethiopia
6/29/10~ P.O.A Recieved at Holt
7/8/10~ Clarification for I600A paperwork sent
6/25/10~ New Power of Attorney sent
6/23/10~ Called about lost P.O.A
6/23/10~ Notification that Dossier is in Ethiopia
6/14/10~ USCIS appointment for fingerprinting in St.Louis
6/3/10~ Notification that Final Dossier is at Holt
6/1/10~ Updated information sent for Dossier (trip to USCIS in KC)
5/26/10~ I600A (Petition to parent an orphan) sent to USCIS
5/26/10~ Dossier to Holt
5/14/10~ Homestudy in hand!!!!
5/12/10~ Notification that Homestudy is complete
4/23/10~ Homestudy Visit (2nd Visit)
